Friday's Fancies-Birthday Party

Friday's Fancies-Birthday Party

Thank you, again, {av}@  Long Distance Loving, for a fun Friday Fancies

It feels like summer out here today. My son and I are off to an outdoor birthday party this weekend. This outfit feels very light and appropriate for hanging out with 2-year-olds. I love the punch of fushia (my fave color!) amongst the classic navy and camel. This an outfit that makes me feel like a sexy mama! Plus, a few of these items are totally affordable!

Happy Friday everyone!

What's on your agenda this weekend?

I Wanna Know!

I wanna know who watches American Idol? I watched the auditions and a couple of the first episodes. What was all the controversy about Pia? I saw her on the Today Show, and she seemed really sweet and forgiving of what happened:

However, I don't understand what the big deal is. Apparently, they think Tween girls are swaying the votes. I personally think America should vote for the bottom two or three, and then the judges vote a person off. What do you think?

P.S. Did you know she is dating a dancer for 'Dancing with the Stars?' How did that happen so fast?!

What's in an Almond?

Did you know that almonds can diminish blackheads? It's true! They can also nourish dry skin, and increase cell growth of new skin. Not only does a serving (24-35 almonds) contain 70 milligrams of calcium and 1/4 serving of magnesium, but these tasty nuts have 70% of the Recommended Daily Allowance of VITAMIN E! So, start snacking and masking!

Soak a handful of almonds in water overnight. Grind them up and mix with 2 Tbsp. of honey. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then massage it in for a good minute or two. Repeat this 2-3 times a week, and you should start to see things improve!

Have a beautiful day!

New York, New York

I am city bound in a couple of weeks. This is what I have on my checklist (that have yet to be checked off):
1.) A cute raincoat
2.) Cute rainboots
3.) A cute England-style hat to wear (we will be watching the Royal Wedding, of course)
4.) Sign ideas to catch Al Roker's eye ;)
Any suggestions?

I also want to know where to eat! I love food!!!
Please help!

Product Review-Lorac Hot Flash Blush/Bronzer Duo

Lorac “Hot Flash” blush/bronzer duo

I purchased this product at Sephora over a year ago, and it’s still kickin’! To warn you, it is going to look a bit scary at first. The bronzer is VERY bronze and the blush looks HOT pink. However, please look past that because this product, when used correctly, imparts the most beautiful glow on your face.

This is how I use it:
With a big powder/bronzer brush, I actually tap it once so both colors get on the brush. I then turn the brush so that the pink is on my cheekbone and bronzer is on the bottom. Then I just lightly brush back and forth a couple times, blending into my temple and down my jaw in a circular motion. Repeat the same technique on the other side. When it is summertime, I will take a small blush brush, tap it in the blush and put a little extra on my cheekbone and under my eyes. It really brightens up my face! It is very pigmented and lasts all day…For reference, I have light/medium skin with olive undertones.
