I Wanna Know!

I wanna know what you think about the new nail look nowadays. It's called "shatter"" or "crackle" nails.

The only one reason I would try it is because my nails chip so easily anyways, so why not just have them purposely look like that? However, I really can't see how this is professional in any way for those who have to work in a corporate atmosphere. Also, is this just a young thing, or are 30+ women wearing it too? It just seems a little too out there for me. I prefer a natural nail. What do you think?

I wanna know. Would you wear crackle nails?

Product Review-Benefit Box O' Powder

If you remember from my "Why Blush is Amazing" post, I don't flush easily. My face (unlike the rest of my body) doesn't tan easily, either. Blush makes me look younger, happier, brighter, and more awake. I love it, and you should too! Some of my favorites are Benefit's Box O' Powders.
I love the sheerness of them, the colors, and the price. Ok, so they are about $28, but before you go ballistic on me, listen up. I don't even remember when I bought this thing. 1...maybe 2 years ago? And, it's still kicking. I literally need to just tap my blush brush in once for each cheek and that's it.

Dallas is my favorite color. {Dandelion would be fantastic for very fair skin} I love Dallas because it imparts a lit-from-within-glow, like maybe you just got in from a brisk walk or finished with a nice steamy bath. It really gives you a subtle, healthy, and sexy flushed look. I just love it!

The packaging is also so cute. I remember the first time I saw them. A girl I went to school with used Dandelion and every time she took the box out to reapply, I would wonder what it was; the box was just so chic looking. It has a faint and pleasant scent to it, too, that still to this day reminds me of her a little bit.

I wouldn't recommend the brush it comes with though. I never do with any cosmetic item. I like to use my own. Although this one would be ok with a really light or highlight color, it will just pick up too much product.

Have a BEAUTIFUL day!

MMM...Maple Syrup...

I am sitting watching The Doctors, and you know what they just told me? Maple Syrup is good for preventing colds AND wrinkles! It's full of anti-oxidants. Just a couple of tablespoons a day is all you need. Bring on the pancakes!

There are a few stipulations, though. It must be GRADE A maple syrup. Organic would be best.

Here is the mask that Dr. Ordon recommends once or twice a week:
Anti-aging Maple Syrup Mask
Mix milk, oats, grade a maple syrup together in a bowl.
Apply, and let sit for 10-15 minutes
Try not to eat your face off and enjoy!

Have a beautiful day!

It's Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you bloggy moms out there! So far, my day has been filled with graciousness, fun, laughter, and sunshine. Because I slept in until almost 10am (well, just stayed in bed, really), there was no breakfast in bed. To be honest, I don't think it's all that grand anyways. I mean, what happens to the crumbs? That just means more laundry to do. Anyway, I walked downstairs to a smiling 2-year old saying, "happy mommy," and this:
A cup of M&M tea (the best kind!), a nonsense magazine, Sunday paper ads, a card, and a Pandora charm from Lil' C. Also, a gift certificate for a facial and massage from the hubby ;)

The three of us then took a family run to the playground, and enjoyed the sunshine while eating lunch outside. Our son is the best little boy, and I feel so lucky everyday that he is in our life. I have never felt so beautiful on the inside as I do now having him to laugh, teach, and share life with. Kids truly are a blessing.

 I hope y'all have a BEAUTIFUL Mother's Day!

p.s. Happy Mother's Day to my gorgeous Mom. She has taught me more than she probably knows, including how to properly take care of my eyebrows, apply lipstick, and crack my gum...I love you Mom! :)
