Simple Sugar Scrub

Because you all appreciated my simple salt scrub that I posted recently, here is a gentler version. The simple sugar scrub!

Simple Sugar Scrub

2 lb. bag of sugar
5 oz. of your favorite scented shampoo (the Philosophy shampoo/body wash works great!)
5oz. of olive oil (the darker the better, not "Extra Virgin," or as Rachel Ray says, "EVOO")

Use a 1 quart container with a lid, like a disposable food storage container.
Fill it about 2/3 of the way with sugar (about 22 oz.)

Add the shampoo

Add the olive oil

Mix ingredients together.

Seal the container and label with directions: Mix before each use. Product will separate.

Can be stored for up to 3 months.

Tip: I like to omit the shampoo and replace 10-20 drops of tea tree and lavender essential oils for the face. Sugar is a great exfoliator because it is anti-bacterial! Did you know that?

Quick tip: Use plain ole' sugar to exfoliate your chapped lips...yum-o!

Have a BEAUTIFUL day!
